Hi! I am Ada, the founder of Vette.
The water was my happy place… until my own reflection ruined it.
I grew up obsessed with water sports—stand up paddle, swimming, snorkeling, you name it. If it involved the sea or a lake, I was in. The water made me feel strong, free, unstoppable… until I had to get out of it. Because once I was on the shore, all I could think about was how I looked in a swimsuit. I hated the way the fabric dug into my skin. The way my belly folded when I sat down. The way I felt on display instead of in my element. So I did what so many of us do:
☑️ I wore a T-shirt over my swimsuit.
☑️ I wrapped myself in towels like a burrito.
☑️ I avoided mirrors, cameras, and my own reflection in the water.
One day, I looked around and saw I wasn’t alone. So many women, just like me, were hiding at the beach instead of enjoying it. That’s when I asked myself:
🚨 WHY do we accept that swimsuits make us feel bad?
🚨 WHY do we settle for discomfort and insecurity?
🚨 WHY hasn’t anyone designed a swimsuit that actually makes you feel GOOD?
And when I couldn’t find the answer… I created it myself. 💡 And so Vette was born.
